The event was attended by Jordi Puig, president of the RCNB; Oriol Mercadal, commercial director of Musto; and Sail Team BCN sailors Paula Barceló, Támara Echegoyen, Silvia Mas, Neus Ballester, Martín Wizner and Jaime Framis.

The Real Club Náutico de Barcelona (RCN Barcelona) has once again demonstrated its excellence in sailing by achieving several podium finishes in the prestigious Trofeo S.M. La Reina.

The Katara by Ready Set Go team, led by Hermogenes and Diego Barcia, took first place in the ORC 2 category. Congratulations on this incredible triumph!

In addition, Pablo Garriga’s Swan 50 Tenaz took second place in the ORC 0 category, while Toni Guiu’s TP52 Blue Carbon also took silver in the long race in ORC Two-Up.

In ORC 1, Elisabetta Quartaroli’s Mercedes Benz-Valdisa closed its performance with a first position on the last day and an outstanding fourth place in the general classification. Sergey Moskovskikh’s X-Odessa Sailor finished in seventh place, and Nicolas Groux’s MSC took an eighth place in ORC 3.

The renowned motor yacht manufacturer will also provide two boats for the exclusive use of the Club from June to November for its commitments in the different regattas on the calendar with its sponsors and partners.

The Barcelona brand and the RCNB have formalized the agreement with the aim of providing added value to its partners and sponsoring companies during the 37th edition of the America’s Cup that will be held in our city.

Two new boats, D32 Open and D36 Open models, will be available to the club along with other boats of the brand as additional support. Both the D32 model and the D36 model are boats designed with the latest technology and design offering high-performance navigation and great comfort.

RCNB members will have the possibility of enjoying the boats with different “Tour America’s Cup” outings as well as the possibility of renting them for private outings. The second was Rolf Auf Der Maur’s ‘KAJSA III’ with 19.46:11, while the podium of arrivals was closed by Diana Corominas’ ‘BLUE’ with 21.47:08. After the compensation of times, this order varied in favor of the ‘KAJSA III’, which took first place with a 26:12 advantage over the ‘KILOTON’. The overall bronze went to the ‘BLUE’ itself with + 1.17:27.

Last weekend, June 15 and 16, the 3rd ACCIÓ Race was held to celebrate the end of the Optimist season. The event, organized by the Real Club Nàutic Barcelona, ​​has had the collaboration of the Associació Catalana d’Optimist, the BISC (Barcelona International Sailing Center) and the Federació Catalana de Vela.

During these two days, the sailors enjoyed various activities that tested their skills. The events have included a swim race, an individual race and an exciting sailor/parent or sailor/coach relay race.

The Real Club Náutico Barcelona was proclaimed, in Roses, champion of Campionat de Catalunya de Vela in the Optimist category after beating the best of three regattas to the Club Náutico El Balís in a closely contested final. CN Balís moved ahead of RCN Barcelona by winning the first race. But in the second, when it seemed that the sailors from Sant Andreu de Llavaneres would sentence the championship, the sailors from the Club Nàutic de Barcelona knew how to rally to tie in the final and also win the third and final regatta to become champions of Catalunya of Optimist team teams. .

In the consolation final, Club Náutico El Masnou beat Club Náutico Cambrils by winning the first two races.

This Campionat de Catalunya for Optimist teams was contested by the 11 best yacht clubs in the Catalan ranking (CN Cambrils, CN El Balís, CN Vilanova, Real CN Barcelona, ​​CN El Masnou, CN l’Escala, CN Garraf, CN Palamós, CV Blanes , CN Vilassar de Mar and GEN Roses). A competition in which 55 tests had to be played on Saturday to compete against each other. But the lack of wind meant that only 25 races were held, with the remaining 30 races having to be held yesterday, Sunday, plus the semifinals and finals.

Barcelona, ​​June 11, 2024 – The XEIC boat, representing the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona (RCNB), has obtained victory in the 38th edition of the prestigious Brindisi-Corfu Race in the ORC Group 2, Cruiser Class and Vintage Class categories . This race, with a route of 110 nautical miles, is one of the most important competitions in the Mediterranean, bringing together more than a hundred teams from various countries.

Under the leadership of Joaquim Barenys and with a crew made up of RCNB members, the XEIC not only stood out in its specific categories, but also achieved the silver medal in the general classification, being only behind the Maxi Prosecco Doc (Ex- Alfa Romeo).

This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication and talent of the XEIC team and RCN Barcelona. The crew has once again demonstrated the club’s excellence in international sailing competitions.
